You heard me say the other day, one of the fundamental flaws with linux is it is under-advertised. So given that fact, I want to try to raise awareness. For that I point you to Cross Linux From Scratch.
What is Cross Linux From Scratch?
Cross Linux From Scratch (CLFS) is a project that provides you with step-by-step instructions for building your own customized Linux system entirely from source.
The next question is why would I want a source built system? Maybe you don’t feel you are geek enough to use a source built system? I say, rubbish. Try it once and you will never go back unless you are forced by some corporate entity. Even then, you will likely find ways to move all of your usages to the open source desktop.
